Pack rat Payten

Payten's current hobby is collections. She spends HOURS collecting random things, ex - seeds from flowers on the ground outside! I used to be nervous when I realized how quiet she was but lately she gets really quiet and just goes for the zip lock baggies. I'm constantly calling out to her "only two bags" and she sadly replies "ohhhh kayyyy." Witch a smile I then listen to her putting back the 100+ baggies, one at a time, back in their box. After the clean up she sprints to whatever pile she has decided to collect into a bag and very carefully fills the bag. Here are just a few examples below! these baggies are all over the house and she knows exactly whats in each one and has to bring them all everywhere. she gets so excited to show whoever we're on the way to see, she just knows they HAVE to love her collections as much as she does. Then just when you think she's forgotten about one, and that you can finally get rid of its contents, she goes looking for it and you better know where it is! (and that BETTER NOT be the trash) haha

Payten also LOVES working on things with Dad, she loves fixing her bike and holding the flash light for him when he's working on the car. Really anything that involves tools and flashlights. The funny thing is i remember loving the same thing. I remember watching my dad on boat engines, or cars, he'd always have his oldies but goodies music on, which is probably why i love that music too now. But little girls and there Dads....so dang cute. Daddies little girls will always look up to their dads and KNOW that they are the coolest dads in the world and we will always be so proud of our dads! Yes that means my Dad too. I MISS YOU!

The soundrack of my summer

I LOVE CONCERTS! I went to this concert with Stephanie, her sister in law and a couple of her friends. We had so much fun!!! I think everyone knows how much I love Good Charlotte but i was so excited for the other bands as well, they were all so good and great performers, bouncing around the stage, up on speakers, swinging around guitars...ahhhh pure energy rush! :) We were all a bunch of giddy school girls the whole time however I will say that Stephanie and I probably looked more like we were on speed or something. Like she said on her blog, the 3 younger girls who should have been the embarrassing, screaming girls, were so much more mature then us! haha But hey you only live once right? so might as well go crazy doing it!!!!

Let the games begin!

Riley is SO good at grabbing Paytens hair whenever she can. Payten is stuck screaming for one of us. It totally reminds me of my sister and I. I remember quite vividly hair pulling fights, kicking fights on our stairs, even one that ended with my foot through a wall...hehe don't know my own strength. The death stares in school when she would walk by wearing my brand new shirt without asking....ahhhhh sisters, cant live without them but Deffinately can't live with them! haha

BBQ Chicken Pizza

YUMMMM Payten loves helping to make pizza and this is packed full of veges and she actually downs them all so I thought I'd post it. It is so easy, healthy, cheap, and quick. PERFECT!
Pizza Dough (I get the whole wheat from Trader Joes for $1)
BBQ Sauce (like 1/2 a bottle +/- what you prefer)
Mozzarella Cheese
Yellow squash (sliced, green is good too but the yellow looks like cheese so they have no idea! sneaky!!!)
Green Peppers (I normally don't like these but paired with pineapple i love them, like in shishkabobs or Waikiki meatballs)( Payten was like mom i LIKE these green things) WHAT?
Red onion sliced
Mushrooms sliced (Payten loved them, i couldn't believe it)
Pineapple chunks
Chicken (i get the pre cooked strips and cut them up)
Cilantro
Variations: tonight i had ham like sandwich meat so i cut that up and put it on too, SO good! also I've put all kinds of veges on it. it sounds crazy but broccoli actually way good it kind of soaks up the BBQ sauce, any summer squashes, different peppers. get crazy with whatever you like, I'm pleasantly surprised every time. If your not near a trader joes a lot of pizza places sell the dough like moose's tooth in AK. anyways enjoy :)

Mornings like this

I love mornings like these. I stayed up scrapbooking way to late then was way to tired to sleep so i got about 3-4 hours sleep maybe. I was not looking forward to being exhausted however I'm surprisingly energized and the girls have been SO GOOD! both just happy and playing happily with their toys. and charming me every time i turn around. ahhh it's funny how you can be so stressed and so frustrated with your kids, then they turn around and give you the most genuine happy smile or say the cutest thing that just melts your heart and in that second your not sure how you could ever be irritated with them. Now at the risk of sounding too sappy they usually turn right back around and are driving you crazy within minutes hahaha but anyways. it's just been a great morning and I've had fun goofing off with the girls, i love them!
Riley figured out how to bounce in this and LOVES it, goes crazy laughing with it, too cute.
Payten got a Shuka sweatshirt and she is sooooo excited because she sees him at "the lion king," aka discovery kingdom, all the time. She was also given a cute purse that is already filled with goodies from her room and she caries it around the house everywhere. THANKS TRACY that was so sweet of you, she really loves them!!!
ahhhhh :) she makes me melt

Mark and Chelsea

katee and joshua

So You Think You Can Dance?

Ummmm no, but I wish I could!!! ahhhhh i LOVE this show. I put on two of my favorites this season, hopefully they will keep working. Last time I put some on Fox made you tube take them off, copy write stuff. These are my two favorite couples this season. This show makes me happy! haha but really I LOVE Wednesdays and Thursdays because of it :)

OK so they keep taking them off you tube but I'll keep trying! the couples are Katee and Joshua, and Mark and Chelsea! Sorry if the video's say no longer available

Payten's new Bike

We got Payten a new bike today. (ok well used but new to her, i'm waaaay to )
cheap to buy and brand new bike she'll be out of in a year) Anyway, she was having a blast until i made her let me take her picture. She then biked up a little steep part, turned the wheel too much, leaned into the turn instead of the other way to balance and ate it.....lets just say the bike is no longer her friend for the day! I got on and rode it which she thought was entertaining but she wasn't about to hop back on yet! haha

Acorns

We hiked West wood Hills the other day with Tristan and Teagan. We had a lot of fun, we were up there almost 3 hours but we made it to the top and everything, I was shocked Payten did the whole thing by herself, i couldn't believe she went that far. Half the time was spent chasing lizards and collecting nuts off the ground. The boys were having fun chasing the lizards and Payten couldn't collect enough of these acorns, or whatever they are. She kept bringing me arm fulls. She was so excited, whenever I'd use a more forceful tone her little arms would move 100 miles a minute to pick up as many as she could really quick then run to me and say she had some more to put in her hat. we'd walk maybe 2 more feet, I'd look to my side to see that Payten wasn't there. I look back and she's hunched down picking up as many as she can, as fast as she can, AGAIN. This process repeated 50 times ( and truly i don't think that's an exaggeration!) haha but it was pretty cute. The funny thing is I was telling Kelly and she said that she used to love to do the same thing. just collect acorns :) no wonder she loves her aunt Kelly so much, kindred spirits

Lion King!

So Payten tells everyone we're going to the lion king or the jungle. If she ever tells you this it can be translated as Discovery Kingdom. The last two years we have gotten season passes from the 6 flags near us. we go all the time and she has a blast. She is still free so it's only one season pass we have to buy and John gets to come on days that we get free tickets. Once we have to start paying for all the kids? I might be to cheap to fork out the dough. ....and now i'm rambling, back to story. So last night was a free night so we took our FHE to the Park. We got to take our picture with Sir Topham Hatt....who in Paytens eyes is SO COOL! she couldn't stop staring at him long enough for a family picture... yeah and if you look close I wasn't thinking about that other daughter of mine either HAHA the one face planted right into Sir Topham Hatt's chest. But in all fairness I was working on a balancing act with the two of them.

Pretty much the whole time this is what payten was doing. RUNNING and smiling like the gitty little girl she is.

BEFORE:

AFTER:
I guess there is a little bit of me in her after all. everyone knows I'm a thrill ride junkie :)But not to much of me in her, everyone knows as well that she's about 98% John...that being said, there was not a happy face after her first Roller Coaster.

I think she was a little freaked out by the walrus's as well! but they were So cool they were making the funniest sounds, but i understand why it might be intimidating
HAPPY FACE! you can't go wrong with some balls and air guns that shoot the balls! :) Payten could have played in here all day!

What have I created?

I think I've created a little high maintenance girl. She ALWAYS has to have her polish on and reminds me every ten minutes to fix it if it's chipped at all. I put flowers on mine last time and now she also makes sure she gets her flowers as well. I think the Girl in her is starting to show
